4th of July

We had a GREAT Fourth of July! We began our day at the Edmond Parade, sitting with some great friends. And the weather was amazing! It was overcast, with a slight-somewhat cool breeze, and not too humid. Perfect! Our parade includes many Church floats, about 3 high school bands, beauty queens, and a mile of Shriners!
After the parade, we slowly made our way back home, and started grilling. We had a delicious BBQ with Ryan's parents. With our belly's full and our eyes tired, we all took naps. I love afternoon naps. Once we woke up, we headed over to our good friends home to go swimming. It was the perfect remedy for the July heat. Thank you Cordy's!
Of course, the holiday didn't end there. We spent the rest of the night eating good food and lighting fireworks at another friends home. The husbands spent the night out in the street with the kids who are not afraid of fireworks, getting in touch with their inner-pyro. Men and fire, I don't get it! The wives either chatted on the porch, or sat indoors with the sensitive eared kids, which surprisingly included Cannon! After this weekend, we finally discovered something Cannon is afraid of! Loud noises! Especially fireworks and thunder. He wouldn't go near the fireworks, and screamed if we were outside when thunder rolled. At least he has a healthy fear of something! But we returned home exhausted, but happy! Happy 4th!
