Brenna is 7!

November 8, 2003, Brenna Shanley Bushman was born. She was absolutely beautiful, looked like a perfect little porcelin doll. She was a very serious baby, and it wasn't until after she was 1 years old that she lightened up and became the happy girl she is today!

Brenna at 18 months. I can't say enough about how smart she is. Book smart and people smart, she catches onto anything and everything. She loves school and loves to learn. She is especially spiritually smart. She understands concepts of the gospel, in such a simple way, and also loves her Savior and really tries to be so good.

She loves getting her hair done, her nails painted, and getting dressed up. At a young age, I had a perfect little doll I could dress up. And with her hair curled (like the picture above) she looks like Shirley Temple!

She loves her friends, and I think she really tries to be a good friend. She doesn't want to exclude anyone, and makes friends easily. I love seeing her get together with her good friends and they can just play, without drama or tears or fighting. She often wants to make treats to bring to friends, or write letters to her cousins.

Brenna is also a GREAT big sister. She loves Cannon, and has been very patient rough and tumble playing. She is such a great big sister to Brooklyn, and Brooklyn LOVES her. She follows her around, and when Brenna laughs, she laughs. She is like the second mama, including when she tries to dish out punishments! I have to frequently remind her "You're not the mom." However, this will be extremely beneficial when she is babysitting age (4 1/2 years?! right?!)

She has recently made her dad the happiest dad in the world, by finding a love of soccer. She has gotten (I think) 4 goals this season, and definitely kept up with the bigger and older players of other teams. One of her highlights is shoulder checking a very large boy (at least a good head and shoulders taller than her) and he fell and she got the ball. She doesn't let anything stand in her way! And I love that about her!
Happy Birthday Brenna!
