My happy baby girl!

How can you not absolutely LOVE those chubby cheeks and sparkly eyes? She is almost 6 months old, and it has gone by way too fast! She LOVES her baby food, especially peas and bananas. She will fall over trying to grab for something. She is constantly doing sit-ups, trying to sit up to join the party. She can growl deeply and squeal like a balloon letting air out. She wants everything in her mouth. We are loving this beautiful baby girl!

Buddies

One thing that I have absolutely enjoyed is watching the friendships between Cannon and Brenna develop. They have been playing great together (for the most part!), and can make each other laugh,...and cry, and play games, and tell stories and jokes. Brooklyn is joining in on the fun, Cannon and Brenna can get her to laugh much quicker and deeper than we can.

My handsome boys!

Not sure when Ryan took these pictures, but I LOVE them! They are my handsome, energetic, happy boys!

Barbie Girls

Brenna has been including Brooklyn in playing with some of her toys, and it has been very rewarding to see how much she cracks up with Brenna. And she always gets very excited when she sees a Barbie. So here are my two girly girls.

Soccer Girl

Ryan was kicking the soccer ball around with Cannon, and noticed that Brooklyn was watching very carefully! So we managed to catch it on tape!

Happy New Years Eve!

Wendy and I spent a great day shopping at the outlet mall at San Marcos. I didn't go crazy, but got some great items at great deals! We came home to have a yummy ham dinner and mint brownies. The kids had a great time setting the tables, with place cards and noise makers and hats.

And it was so nice having a kids table and an adults table! We got to eat in peace. We barely made it to midnight, playing cards and watching funny Youtube videos (and a football game). It was a great end to 2009!

New Years Day

New Years Day we went to the GREAT Zilker Park in Austin. As we walked up from parking, I saw people with swimsuits and towels, in 60 degree weather! There is a naturally heated spring/swimming pool. We will have to try that another time! The kids enjoyed playing on their large play ground, then we took a train ride around the pretty big park. It was great, and perfect weather!

After the train ride, the kids got balloon animals from some random guy! He was probably the best I've ever seen! Brenna and Cannon got swans.

We then braved IKEA. It was crazy busy, and the kids were a little tired. We got some good odds and ends for the house, and some yummy food! The girls were pushed around on a cart. Thanks Cecily for needing the ride with your bummed knee!

The next night we went on a date, and saw Blind Side and went to dinner at one of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to. It was SO good! And of course the kids had a blast playing together at home! It was a great trip! Thanks Eric and Wendy!

Chicken Dance

Brenna and Cannon have learned the Chicken Dance, and on an episode of Elmo's World, they do the dance. So on one of our many snow days spent at home, we enjoyed watchig them move!

More Snow Days

Christmas Day the kids (including Ryan) enjoyed our 1+ foot of snow, and the slick sidewalks and driveways. We have WARM clothes for the kids to wear, but not WATER-RESISTENT! There is a huge difference, and the kids' hands and feet were bright red ice blocks when they finally came in. But I absolutely enjoyed having a White Christmas!
