In the morning either on Wed, Aug 4 or Thurs Aug 5, we made our usual trip up to Salt Lake City and Temple Square. The weather had been on and off rainy, so we brought the umbrella. It was a nice sunny day, but Brenna couldn't let it go to waste!

Brenna took this great picture of us! Good job, Brenna! Eight years and three kids after getting married in there, we don't look too different, do we!?

Brenna loved walking around Temple Square. Seeing all of the missionaries from all over the world. Recognizing the Salt Lake City Temple, and the Conference Center, and the Tabernacle. We visited both Vistor's Centers.

We tried to keep the kids quieter while viewing the Christus Statue, but the room echoes. And both Brooklyn and Cannon LOVE to hear their echoes! There was a family the sister missionaries were talking to while we were up there. In the South Visitor's Center was a display about the Salt Lake City Temple, and Brenna loved looking at the pictures and displays. We also walked around this North Visitor's Center, it had a display about the Humanitarian Aid. It is amazing what the Church accomplishes, but doesn't publish too often.
After leaving Salt Lake, on our way home, we stopped at a Chick Fil A in South Jordan to have lunch with Ryan's friend from Oklahoma who now lives there. The place was SWAMPED! And as someone who doesn't have kids, Bonyai handled the kid chaos like a pro. It was great to see him also!
In the evening on Thursday, we also went bowling at BYU's $1 bowling with my brother Andy and his family. Here is the first of many occassions on the trip that I wish I took pictures! The kids had a blast.

Thank's for blogging all this...it looks like you had a good time with your mom and sister and sister in laws...and I know the children loved it.
