Following in her mother's footsteps, Brenna was one of the only 2nd graders (and probably 1st graders) who hadn't lost their front top teeth. Hers had been loose for a while, but she refused to pull them and her retainer did restrict her tooth-wiggling exercises throughout the day. She has an aversion, as did I, to pulling teeth. My parents used to chase me around the house, when caught hold me in a death grip on my mom's lap, while my dad pulled out my graying tooth! Amidst the screams of protest, I didn't realize he had already pulled it. Flash forward to today, we didn't have to tie Brenna down. Her Aunt Heather offered, using her credentials as being married to a dentist to sway Brenna. And of course, the offer is much more enticing coming from a non-parent! And within 5.7 seconds, and NO tears, Brenna's tooth was finally free!
Now, this smile looks Oklahoman!!!
Brenna's other front tooth is almost ready to come out, and soon she will be as gap-toothed as her classmates! But of course, I think she is still beautiful!
