We made a quick trip to Austin, to visit the Eric and Wendy Bushman family for New Years. We had a great time going out to dinner, enjoying the fantastic weather at a local park, playing Risk on the iPad's, partying on New Years Eve, attending the girls "Spa" that they created (and actually charged real money!), went shopping, and watched the boys wrestle. Once we arrived, we really didn't ever see Brenna and Lauren. They are two peas in a pod, and had a great time being together 24/7.
Here we are pulling the boys apart! Cannon had a GREAT time with his cousin Brandt. They played loud and rough, and were very sad to separate. And we learned that Cannon has more than size to his advantage when wrestling, he seemed to have some natural skill!
Can you tell Brooklyn looks EXHAUSTED!? She has had a hard time sleeping lately, and not sleeping in her new big girl bed didn't help. But thank goodness for her great cousin Cecily. She LOVED her, and thank goodness! Because mama appreciated the break!
The non-stop action at the Austin Bushman home provided a quite ride home! All the kids took turns napping, and both Ryan and I appreciated the peace and quiet. We even took turns driving and sleeping ourselves. Welcome to 2012!!
