Fishers of Men

... or of teeny, tiny fish!

It was a group effort for family home evening this Monday! Our family, met up at the Hansen's, along with the Dickmans and the Skinners. We ate some pizza, played in the yard, the men "unstuck" a mower in the field. And it was perfect weather!

One of the few times these boys were sitting still! Thank goodness for Hot n Readys!

On the neighbors plot of land is a small pond (even smaller with the draught!). It is about a 4-5 acre walk from the Hansens, through beautiful pastures and fields. The neighbors also own two horses, who weren't quite sure of our presence. That is, until the Horse Whisperer, Daniel Dickman, calmed them down this his powers!

But they still followed us to the lake. And sat there watching us the entire time, slowly taking steps closer to us. I loved it! They added to the entire atmosphere and experience.

Beautiful Brenna!

Wasssssuuuup!? I have no idea what he is doing, but he has been doing this a lot lately! Flashing gang signs or something! He has been pulling random faces and posing in awkward positions, then laughs at himself. I love his sense of humor!

Of course the little man got his feet deep in the Oklahoma red mud!

These two have known each other for almost 6 years! Crazy! (Side note: I just noticed in typing this, that Kaden is now taller than Brenna. And she is almost 2 years older than him! I love it)

Dan was the first to catch a little tiny fish! Him and Lily were the only ones to snag one. He was pretty happy with his little trophy fish. But, he did catch n release this little guy.

Not until after Kaden got a picture with it also!

It was a perfect night! Got me very excited for summer, just wish the cooler evenings would stick around instead of the heat and humidity!
