The Next Day

We took our time getting to Utah. We stopped outside Albuquerque, in a little po-dunk town, and I actually slept in a motel that sprinkled moth balls outside the doors to help with the smell. It was well vacuumed and the sheets looked washed, but it was old, and dingy, and stinky, and just all around gross. My paranoia made me itch for the first hour of tossing and turning, but I finally let my 8 hours in the car exhaustion take over.
The next night was much better! We stayed in Las Vegas with my grandparents. Cannon enjoyed climbing on their coffee table, while Brenna just enjoyed having 2 more pairs of listening ears. It was extremely enjoyable, and I am so glad we added Vegas as a stop!
We then continued north, to Provo, Utah. The roads the entire drive were clear, and the van is a much better long-drive car than our Civic! We arrived in the evening, and by the next day around noon, our car was covered in snow! We are so glad it waited for us to arrive! Because it practically snowed for the next 6 days while we were there.
