This was Brenna's idea. She really, really, really, wanted to go ice-skating. We finally arranged to take all the little cousins ice-skating. We laced up her skates, and after standing up in them for about 3 seconds, she decided she didn't want to go ice-skating. She really, really, really didn't want to go ice-skating. We said it was too late.

As the loving parents we are, we forced her onto the ice, and held her up as we circled the rink a few times. She finally stopped crying long enough to have a few moments of stable fun, then she wobbled and resumed her panic state. But, she was not alone. Most of the cousins hung out on this bench while the adults took turns out on the ice.
