We spent a fun filled two days in the gorgeous scenery of Camp Unahliya in Wisconsin. After about 18 hours in a car, the kids were ready to run, swim, and get dirty with their cousins. Here's poor Grandma Gene trying to watch a movie with the grandkids surrounding her!
The first night there we had a Bushman Skit/Talent Show. We had a Todd Bushman created game show, Goldilocks and the Three Bears performed by the Troy Bushman family, a Blond Joke skit performed by none other than the Eric Bushman group, and The Big Jerk presented by the Heather Bushman (Hansen) clan. Our family decided to perform magic tricks! Ryan convincingly pulled a pen out of his nose, forehead, and nipple... crossed the line...
Brenna wowed us with the floating pen trick! Look, she's not even holding it!
Here's our captive audience!
The camp had A LOT of outdoor activities. And we all got very sweaty and dirty! Including my handsome boys.
There was a pond you could go canoeing in.
Or dip your feet and collect seaweed! Good job Brenna!
Or throw pebbles in, which Cannon did for a good 20 minutes. It is so funny to find what entertains the kids for so long. Throwing rocks in water. Priceless.
There was also a sand volleyball area, with tennis courts and baseball/soccer field surrounding it. Cannon and Brenna of course spent their time playing in the sand with their cousins.

Brenna and I also attempted Lacrosse. I don't think that is our sport!
Without fail, if some of the adults started a tennis match, it would turn into doubles, then triples as each of the cousins would join in. Invited or not! Since none of us were tennis pro's, we didn't mind the added players! I should add that Ryan's old brother, Eric...Oh wait, I mean oldEST brother Eric beat him in soccer. Ryan claims a handicap of a sloped field. Hmm....

If you can see in the background, there was a nice, COOL, lake that was in walking distance. There was a swimming area with a slide (which Cannon thoroughly enjoyed), paddleboats (that went to slow for Ryan's liking), Canoes (which Brenna loved being included with her older cousins), and a small beach. This was a great place to hang out during the hotter hours of the day. They also had a floating trampoline, which I never saw on the water, but that didn't matter to Cannon!
And with all of the outdoor playing, it was impossible to keep clean. And keep the floors clean in our cabin! Poor crawling Brooklyn was always FILTHY from crawling around. All of us took turns sweeping, but we barely made a dent. Here's her chubby dirty legs.
The best part of the vacation was the family time. We played games, had great late night discussions (which went TOO late one night), napped, ate cafeteria food, and laughed and teased A LOT. We had a great time!
Even with 14 KIDS!
