Cannon's Birthday Month!

We indeed celebrated ALL of August! We partied with my family in Utah. We had a "just us" family party on the day of his birthday. And then, the icing on the cake, was a friends party. A great friend of mine offered her fabulous and newly finished backyard, including a huge pool, trampoline, pink playhouse and tree house. Everything a kid would want! We invited family and a few friends over for the celebration. The highlight was truly his birthday cake. We have an amazing young woman in our ward (Mia Maid!) who creates the most outstanding and delicious cakes. Here is the show stopper!

Cannon couldn't take his eyes (or fingers) off of him! He couldn't wait to dig in. About every 5 minutes, he would break from swimming to come ask "Can me have cake now?"

The kids spent about an hour swimming, snacked on watermelon and banana and blueberry muffins, and then the time came to cut into poor Mike Wazowski!

And he was delicious! Lily had the right idea, when diving into chocolate birthday cake, you need to keep your eyes clean at all times. Goggles were the way to go!

Brooklyn was such a great sport! She played in the wading area, ate watermelon and muffins, and enjoyed crawling around everywhere!
