While in Escalante, we stayed in the best cabin. It had 5 bedrooms, 3 living areas, a very large and nicely furbished kitchen, and a very rustic ambiance, and huge windows to see all the amazing southern Utah scenery.
We played a lot of games. Especially after the kids were in bed!
The cabin had a few items that were not "kid friendly". This massive drum was one of them. There were several real fur hides, extremely heavy saddles, ropes, that we had to hide in my parent's closet!
We also enjoyed watching the thunder storms that passed through.
