Fourth of July

Our fourth of July started early, at my insistance, at the Edmond Libery Fest Parade. I love seeing the veterans, listening to at least one high school band, seeing the mile of Shriners, and our friends who do a Star Wars float ("May the Fourth Be With You").

Great food is also necessary. We had delicious BBQ, and treats, including this flag sugar cookie. YUM!

After eating, we played Minute to Win It games. This was my team: Me, Tanner, Lily and Brooklyn. Let's just say that we didn't come in first...ever!

After all of the games, there was one GRAND FINALE! Grandma and Grandpa put on shower caps, covered in shaving cream, then the kids took turns throwing Cheetos at them. It was hilarious!

Most importantly, the kids had a great time playing with their cousins. They made a short film, and a cousin pyramid. It is fun to see them have so much fun just spending time with their cousins.
